    MechCorps Uniform Specification & discussion

We now have official uniform specifications thanks to many of our mechwarriors.

I have placed the specifications for the uniforms in the Training Manual under MechCorps Uniform Specifications

This discussion thread is for adding any questions about the uniform or where to buy the supplies for the uniform.

So, to start off, here are some searches for local places to purchase Battle Dress Uniforms (BDUs). [disclaimer: this is not an endorsement of these stores and MechCorps does not receive any compensation for sales at these stores. This is only a guide to help you start your search and for you to compare pricing.]

    Army Surplus in Houston, TX

    Top Brass Military in Houston:

    Command Post in Houston

    Colonel Bubbies in Galveston

Of course you can get the BattleTech Patches at our base inside Track 21

Feel free to post any other good places to buy BDUs in this thread.

    There is also this one:

    All Army Plus
    6410 Highway 6 N, Houston, TX
    (832) 593-0786

[muerte's note: this is at the corner of hwy 6 and Kingfield, just south of West Little York.]

They don't have a website, but it's north of Track 21.

The usual pairs are "MECHCORPS" and your callsign. They are in all capital letters.

    The pairs are $7.00
    Singles are $4.00

We can take Money Order or PayPal to
    admin at MechCorps dot com

Contact us directly please. Track21 does not take the orders since these are custom made when ordered.

Is woodland camo the only "approved" colors, or could one purchase something else (as long as it was still BDUs)?

Standard woodland camo is suggested, but any color is fine. I know Asland really likes his blue camo...

I haven't purchased anything just yet. I'm looking at having some custom Diamond Shark and Sea Fox patches made up.

I like the digital blue camo, but the pocket arrangement is crazy. I don't think I would like it very much, but I am a fan of the mandarin-style collar.
