You read correctly. After this Saturday, MechCorps will no longer be headquartered at Track 21. So this is the last time you'll be able to pilot a mech at Track 21.

It was November of 2005 when MechCorps fired up the original 8 pods (and very little else) and started the community in Houston.

For this Saturday, we'd like to go out with nostalgia. You'll be able to see what it was like back in 2005. We'll have eight pods available, we'll run until about 10pm when we'll shut down the pods for the last time. After shutdown, we'll pack up the pods and take them outside and into the MechCorps Dropship (trailer).

Join us for this last evening at Track 21.


Next Stop... Comicpalooza! May 25-27, 2012.

There are only TWO Regulars' Nights left for Track 21, this Friday and the following Saturday. So if you haven't had the time to visit us at Track 21, there are your last opportunities. On Saturday the 19th, we intend to have a blowout of a time, and then - literally - take our toys home by wheeling the pods out and loading them in the trailers one last time. Come by, be a part of it and see it happen.

After Saturday the 19th, we will be in our Convention season full-swing with Comicpalooza, Delta H Con and Texas Comicon. We hope to have a new home - even if it might be temporary - in July.

So, come by this weekend or next and see us off and come see us at the conventions.

The time has come for MechCorps to move it's headquarters of the past 6+ years from Track 21.

We will be operational at Track21 on the following dates:

• Saturday, May 5
• Friday, May 11
• Saturday, May 19

On the 25-27th of May, The Mobile Armor Division pods will be at Comicpalooza at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

Last Week
It was a light turnout last weekend with only a dozen pilots in attendance, but we got in some quality team missions and got in some missions that (believe it or not) some had never tried yet, Siege Assault, X-1 Dogpile, and The Circuit.

We also were honored to succeed in the celebratory mission for Vampy's 40th Birthday. When the ten minutes had passed and the smoke and fire cleared, the Birthday Girl had been awarded 82 Swirlies with Zato-Ichi matching me for most love shown to Vampy. I think that Deadmeat still holds the "Most Collected Even Though It Was Not My Birthday" award.

There were also some who inquired about the revival of the UNcivil Wars...

Last Week:

Kyo hosted our Regulars' Night last Friday and the Pods seemed to be happy with this as they gave no objection.

Kyo told me:
Hopefully we'll see them back this week.

While this was happening, the Mobile Armor Division was on an away mission to Lake Charles, LA, (aka: the Acadian Empire) for CyPhaCon where we brought 6 pods and introduced the world to MechCorps Mascots!

Some notable memories included: not wearing pants, castle, "I can't speak to the banana.", "OOOOOOooooo Alcoholic Beverages...", castle, Tovaar in a glass box, Phrogg on TV again, rockin the cosplay contest, PIRATE!, "Things heard during the con", Irish Car Bombs, castle, ... anything else I miss?
