    SNAKE EYES (7/12/62)

    In the skies over Korea in 1952, Maj. Albert Mandlebaum downs six MiG’s in a single mission. His aircraft, a Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star, was dubbed SNAKE EYES for luck. Ten years later, when Mandlebaum successfully infiltrated the BattleTech universe, he named his transport pod SNAKE EYES II to help continue his winning streak.
