    PEGASUS (12/12/50)

The second attempt at a walk in a virtual world was by William “Wild” West, who named his pod PEGASUS, the winged horse of mythology, to honor his three Silver Stars won for aerial combat over the China Sea in World War II. Unfortunately, West disappeared during translocation to the Ninth Harmonic on December 12, 1950. Six rescue missions failed to locate any trace of West or of PEGASUS, the sister ship of Morris’ AGE OF DISCOVERY.
