MechCorps often give bonuses for MechWarriors that appear at the base in uniform. Watch the Mission Event Announcement forum for details.
Each mechwarrior is responcible for acquiring their own uniform and their own patches. Check with the MechCorps Uniform forum for discussion and information on where to purchase supplies.
The illustration below shows the location of the patches, pins, insignias on your MechCorps Uniform.
The image below shows how the uniform should look when your done.

The first thing you want to do is wash your BDU blouse/shirt (if it is new) and wash the name tapes both in warm water. The goal here is to pre-shrink them both. The MechCorps and other patches have the iron-on backing and will not shrink near as much as the name tapes will shrink after the first wash.
DO NOT CUT the name tape to fit the width of the pocket. Center the name on the pocket, then fold the ends under so that the fold is even with the edges of the pocket.
It is really not that hard to sew it on. Go to a fabric store, bring the name tapes and the other patches and hand them to one of the clerks. Tell them what you're doing and ask them to set you up with the right colors of thread and a needle. You'll want the same color thread as the edging of the patch. Use black for the MechCorps Patch.
They'll even give you some other tips if you ask nicely.
Just make sure that you keep the stitches small and tight.
This is only recommended if you CANNNOT sew the patches.
Basically what you're doing is melting the glue on the back of the patch, while not scorching/burning the patch or the camo. Get the iron REALLY hot. You'll need to pin the patch in place, then turn the shirt inside out. Put a wet towel on the ironing board, put the patch on the towel with the camo material's back-side facing up. Spray some water on the camo material. Put the iron on the camo and hold it. If it stops steaming, pick up the iron and spray water on the camos and put the iron down again. Periodicaly put the iron aside (safely, it's hot) and try pulling on the edges of the patch (also hot) to see if the glue has set.
You'll probably end up giving it another ironing after it is washed a few times. (did I mention that sewing is better?)
